In the past I would partially fill a keg with sanitizer, swish it around, push some out of the dip tube to make sure there is sanitizer in it and then dump the sanitizer out.  I'd then usually let the keg sit upside down for a while to let more drip out.

When I do that now the floating dip tube escapes and then I have to touch it to put it back in which kind of defeats the purpose of sanitizing.  How do you guys deal with this?

I kept the lid partially on to dump most but not sure how to invert without it coming off....

I wear a rubber glove that is sanatized and just deal with it. No issues so far.

LOL.  I think I might have a pair of unused gloves somewhere....

I think if I kind of half assed hold the lid on I might be able to get most of it out.  I was thinking someone would have a some sort of (what should have been) obvious trick.

So I just undid the lid but held it kind of in place with my hand so the dip tube couldn't fall out when I flipped. I'm pretty sure I got most of the stuff out.
