I used to love the RTS genre, but it hasn't aged well. Zones and heroes are bullshit. Gimme a map, some resources, and ... uhh someone watch my kids for me. And hold my beer. I mean get me a beer.

RPGs are muh thing lately. Favorite of all time might be the mount and blade series.

Factorio.

Rimworld.

Everything else fades into the distance.

I've been playing a super modded x100 difficulty factorio run right now.  It's literally taking months, which is exactly what I was looking for.  Just getting started on tearing down and rebuilding my factory for the fourth time.

I don't game much anymore.  mostly racing games with the kids.  sometimes I still play super punch out.

I used to be into RTS and FPS but I haven't really played that stuff in a while.

Factorio.

Never heard of this. Looked it up and had Railroad Tycoon flashbacks. Bought it and have been playing it all morning. Thanks, but also, damn you :P

Getting really good at deleting my post instead of quoting them.

Anyway battlezone is as good as I remember. Awesome blend of space tank combat and strategy/field management. Still looks pretty good.

On sale for $5: https://store.steamp...ezone_98_Redux/

Waiting for Factorio to go on sale.

Factorio doesn't ever go on sale. They state it on the Steam store page.

Still playing my super steroidal amped difficulty factorio.  It's getting a lot harder to play when drunk.  :D

The Factorio demo is pretty promising so far. Definitely will need to play on the desktop, however. Too much for a 13" ultrabook, both in terms of seeing detail and the amount of CPU heat produced.
