I don't think I've ever had a starter pretty much immediately take off.  I harvested some yeast 4 days ago (I think anyway, all the days blend together!).  I made a 007 starter today and it was bubbling right away but I figured that was just from the shaking but it's 2 hours from that time and this looks like it's fermenting.  bubbling out of the airlock and everything!

I dunno really. I was wondering this myself this morning. I probably could have saved two Mason jars worth of stuff and made no starter! I guess this way I can save some for next time!

The Bigger Schwarzbier

Basically just a slightly higher OG schwarzbier.  it was already fermenting at a reasonable clip this morning so I hooked up my 2 serving kegs to the outgassing path to clear the O2 out.
