So who's run into some good beer names lately?
Cheers!

The beer names that get me are the ones where the styles of beer is not in the name, making me wonder what it is. Here in Chicago, Half Acre is good for this. Yes, you can find out what the style is but you have people asking for beers like Big Hugs, Daisy Cutter, Gone Away, Chocolate Camaro, Ginger Twin, The Grotto, Quakerbridge, Sticky Fat, Space, etc. The labels are really psychedelic too. Early in my brewing I named beers after the font I used to make the label: Memory Lapse, Undie Crust, Flat Earth, Barrelhouse, Aftermath, Times New Roman, etc. Seems like beer names at brewpubs are as varied and creative as the beers themselves. What are you doing up there anyway?

Mousse Knuckle- an oatmeal cream stout aged in whiskey barrels. Saw it at Bonsai Brewing Project in Whitefish, Montana.

My favorite was a tap room only beer at Oscar Blues. It was a cream ale named Money Shot.
I did name a triple monk spunk for a beer festival. It was poured and tapped quicker than all the others.

I try to keep my names fun and interesting. You have a hard time as a brand if you just name things by their style name. I love naming beers. It’s another creative aspect to brewing. I try to keep things interesting but people are weird. They try to find the dirtiest meanings for the names. I have a scotch ale named Ruby Waves and several people have asked if it’s named after a heavy flow month for a woman.
Hi, I'll have a glass of Heavy Period.

I like to have fun with names. It’s beer after all
I just need to know what the beer actually is. Somewhere in the description or on the can or bottle I need to know what style it is. My wife has gotten into kombucha lately and there is a brand called BREW Dr. Some of the flavors are "Super Berry" or "Mint Lemonade" which is fine. But some are "Love" and "Sunny Day" and "Clear Mind". This is not helpful.

That would be good. I have some brewdays coming up but they may be "weekday afternoons". If I have one coming up on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon I'll let you know.
