I've never had this beer, but a friend who is originally from the PNW is asking if I can brew something similar. The website says it's pale 2-row, crystal, and chocolate malt with cascade and mt hood for hops. That's about it. No OG, FG, ABV, SRM, type of yeast, etc. There was a clone recipe in BYO some time ago. Does anyone know if it's reasonably accurate?I'm thinking that I'll brew it to around 1.052, about a pound of crystal 40, with enough chocolate to hit around 14 SRM? Hop to around 30 IBUs with about an oz for flavor and an oz at knockout.Any thoughts on yeast? BYO says it's an English strain. Other recipes I've seen indicate WLP001. If I don't find anything conclusive, I'll probably use 1272.I don't care if it's an exact clone. Just something reasonably in the ball park. As I said, I've never had the beer, so I have no reference point to start from.
