I had ordered a couple of kegs a while back, but never got around to using them. When I went to keg my brown ale last night, BOTH of the god damned things had leaks on the seams where the tops of the keg meets the main body.

Would it be possible to get some plumbing solder and patch them up? It is too late to return them.

If you want to solder I would use silver solder. My worry would be if the inside would still have a void for nasties to hide.

Brewhardware.com has a silver solder package with solder and Flux. I have used it many times on my fermenters.

I've never heard of this kind of leak.  i was expecting this to be about o-rings or the lid or something.

I agree.  I would still complain and ask for a refund or replacement

Yeah, those never should have been sold unless you bought them as scrap metal.

Curious, who did you get them from.
