He gets brought up every now and then. Cavman still sees him I think and says he is busy with work and kids (if my memory is correct). I miss his input as well.

Brauer was certainly a loss. Chils too, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him poke back in here some day.

The PH is it's own little world. In the beer forum, I caught myself posting in the PH tone of voice. Then I remember, this is the brewing forum where respect and being helpful is the standard bill of fair.

I hope the dudes mentioned could ignore the PH and come hang in the beer side of town town.

The civility and sense of community we enjoy in the beer forum are 2 of the reasons I still post on this forum.

My presence in the PH is virtually none anymore, (don't care for a lot of the personalities/views expressed there), but here, in the beer forum, totally different story.

I get why some (specifically, Chils) bounced; I nearly did that a couple of times, and for the same reasons I understand Chils left (tired of the PH nonsense).

Hope he and other former beer forum types come back around someday.

Too many angry people in the PH that seem hell-bent on telling others how to think.  Russian trolls seem to love that place, but I stay the hell out of there.  :D

I like our beer forum. Helpful, not judgmental, very funny at times and just good people in general. Let's keep it that way.

When somebody starts calling a member a smooth brain for using California common yeast in a stout, we will know PH has crept into the polite and reasonable, dare I say gentlemanly, brewing forum.

With the exception of fishing for new meme's in the LOLZ, there's nothing there of interest and plenty of tude.

Yea, Oddly enough, I came here to discuss brews.. got sidetracked. Sorry 'bout that.

so what's on tap at SF's:

Cinnamon wheat (AiH kit)

Spruce tip brown

Morehouse's Black cat clone that became a 'kitchen sink brew, but close enough semi-clone"

And horror of horrors I have let my RIS supply run out! The reserved RIS tap is empty. :o

Looking for outside temps a bit below 95 degrees to brew another batch.

Does this mean I'll have to change my on-line identity to something like procrastinator-fan.

Actually I do have a recipe for a dopple-bock: It's called "Procrastinator."

I just never got around to brewing it!

Actually I have used the California common yeast for many different beers in the ale family. Never been disappointed.
