I ran some hot oxiclean through my lines first.  Now I'm doing hot BLC (recirc) and I can't really see much more improvement.  the lines are still the same yellowish color and the stuff in the bucket doesn't seem to be darkening all that much.

I noticed a huge color changes when I use it but I do not do the oxi step.  I just use the BLC from the start.

the oxiclean still doesn't make the line clear again but it seems like more stuff comes out.  does BLC make your lines clear again?

Not as clean as new but they do lose some discoloration.

With a long, hot enough soak and 1.5x the recommended amount (think its 1/2 oz per qt is the instructions for BLC) it will knock off stubborn stain/beer stone, IMO. I just try to stay ahead from my lines getting like that.

I just use PBW. Stain never goes away but improves and definitely cleans lots of gunk out. BLC needs to be rinsed as well so I'm not sure what the benefit is supposed to be.

My procedure is usually to cycle some hot PBW through with a garden sprayer (with a ball lock post attached). Fill the line and let it sit 15 minutes-ish. Repeat. Rinse with Star San.

I've used BLC for many years, and I've found it works pretty well for me.

I use 1 fl oz per quart, so 2 fl oz total for the 2qt pitcher I use.

After burping out the old beer out of the line, I use a pond pump to actively recirc hot BLC/water for ~15-20 min per line, rinse with a couple of gallons of very cold (near ice-cold) water, then a quick run through with a light solution of Star San and cold water.

Always amazed at how much crap comes out of the lines during cleaning.

Is that what it says on the bottle for dilution?

Either from the bottle itself or some looking around online and doing a little math.

The last line cleaning I did last month, I got plenty of crud cleaned out of the lines, so it seemed to work well.

It works great if you use it regularly. Every other week ideally. If not, yeah, tougher to clean lines.

Just checked my bottle. Its 1/2 oz of BLC per qt of water. i do clean my lines every two/three weeks. overkill on a homebrew scale; i just hate swapping out keg lines.
