I picked up some kegging equipment from a neighbor the yesterday. I got a Counter Pressure Filler a, regulator and and 5lb CO2 tank. He said that they had been stored in his basement for several years. They look to be in good shape, if a little dirty. What is the best way to clean these things and sanitize them so I don't get any nasties in my finished beer. Also can anybody point me to a simple how to on using the CPF, it didn't come with instructions and the neighbor said he had never used it.

This video for more beer will give you an idea of how to use it https://morebeer.com.../vids_cpfiller. I would take it all apart and soak it in some star-san and make sure the inside of the tubes are nice and clean. As for the regulator, I would not bother taking that apart to clean.

Yeah - unless the guy somehow managed to get beer into it I'd say the regulator is probably fine.

The link says "file not found". I was already planning on replacing the tubing, it is really dirty. Also I'm out of star-stan but have plenty of iodophor, I also have B-brite and oxyclean.

https://morebeer.com...s/vids_cpfillerlooks like the was a . at the end of the link. I think a good oxyclean bath and then any type of sanatizer woudl be the way to go. And I agree get rid of that hose. That is cheap enough to replace.
