Not bad, not loving it. For some reason it came out more roasty or dry stout than I wanted.
It might have been the Simpsons Double Roasted Crystal or the Simpson naked golden oats or some error in my brewing technique.
my fav brown ales involve castle chocolate malt. Denny pointed it out to me and I have to say it's great. I actually save it for beers that aren't stouts/porters b/c it's smoothness would be a little wasted there in my opinion.
