I use one tablet per 10 gallon batch.Unless you're doing a mega batch, probably only need one though. Don't want to suck too much out.It is great stuff. Works well and convenient.

"A blend of Irish Moss and purified Kappa carrageenan that encourages the precipitation of haze causing materials such as proteins and Beta glucans. Prepared in a quick dissolving, highly soluble tablet form. Almost everyone who tries Whirlfloc tablets prefer them to regular Irish Moss."From product description.I'm going to have to try this stuff. Do you not use any Irish Moss?

that seems to be the key with the regular Irish Moss. Before i satrted hangin out with you all , i had no idea that it was supposed to be done. the LHBS didn't either.I have used the tablets and think they are fine. I don't see any difference between them and IMother than the ease of use. A friend gave me a bag of IM a while back and I'm using it to getrid of it. I must say, it works fine for me. I rehydrate it before using.

I have always used IM and have had fantastic results with just a pour into the cup of my hand, ~2tbl spoons for 10 gallons. But I have the same problem DJ= you have to remember to throw it in!! Brewday timer on the laptop has finally solved that problem.https://www.beerbelliesbrew.com/Whirlfloc sucks, the have no guarantee that you will remember to throw it in.

Just add to a little hot water and make "tea" out of it ... I typically let it steep for about 10 minutes before I throw it in. It becomes slimy as hell when it goes into the hot water.OK, so I'll ask... what's the procedure for rehydrating it?
