I'd guess it was left in a cold garage over the winter and froze and cracked. The first use probably found the weak spot. Too bad, but it can probably be fixed. Hope the beer is okay.

My water is high in chlorine and is perfect for brewing stouts....

I hope that is a typo. I do not know of how chlorine, in any amount, is good for any beer.

Now I just heard the guys airlock clogged and the lid blew off his bucket. I told him to take pictures when he gets home. If he keeps brewing I'd say his beer karma is way way up after all this bad fortune.

Just rigged up adapters and blew out my CFWC and pumps last night.After getting an inch of snow and sleet on the 18th of October I'm not taking any chances.Great Global warming BS.We've NEVER had snow this early in the Baltimore region.Suck it Al Gore!Forget the internets, go invent some common sense!
