I have three local suppliers and when I ask them about it, they tilt their head like a dog does when you say something it doesn't understand. I could probably order it but I have enough gel and although there *is* that extra work involved, I am so used to it that I don't necessarily mind it. Next time I order something online (like White Labs which I also can't get locally), I'll look for it.

Yeah give it a try if you see it. Works quick like gelatin too.

Works quicker for me, one day. The one drawback is it does not re-settle very good. So if you move your kegs a lot it may not be the best. I transfer off it so have no issues.

Take a look at the picture thread. That IPL had 1T of biofone.

when I did do it I would rack onto it in the keg so I guess I would pour out the settled stuff in the first few pints.  I never found it increased the final clarity but rather it just moved things along a little bit quicker.  maybe a week or 2 versus just letting time + cold do the job for me.  it might depend on what you clarity issues are I guess.  I don't think I have any mash induced haze issues so I was mostly dropping yeast and hop matter out.

Cold crash primary. Gelatin in keg. Rack on top of gel. Maybe chuck 1/2 pint of cloudy stuff.

This.
