La Fin is a great beer, and very reasonably priced.

Tis a "good beer" night in teh Beejus house. Got some Brother Thelonious Abbey Ale, Oblovoid oak-aged oatmeal stout and a Sam Adams seasonal mixer.

You're putting it in the wrong hole.

La Fin du Monde has put the final nail in my coffin a few times.I had a taster of my Pumpkin to start off (yummy breakfast beer), another taster of Oktoberfest a while later, and my asst. brewer gave me a sample of his DIPA. But I'm just now starting the vorlauf on my last brew of day...it'll be time for the 'big kid' glass soon enough!

The SA oktoberfest is really rubbing me wrong this year.

This was the commercial example for our club's tasting this month, easily the least favorite behind a local brewery and a homebrewed example. Sure looks pretty in the glass, that's about the only thing memorable about it.

The SA oktoberfest is really rubbing me wrong this year.

I get it as being sulfury when first opened, fades but is still present throughout, and a metallic flavor that lasts. Not impressed. Besides Ayinger, I think Stoudts has the best this year, followed by Spaten, and BBC (our local) is very good this year as well.Love the La Fin Du Monde  My poison that put me in last night was Founder's Breakfast Stout. Yummy
