Brewing a No Oat Mild today. It was going to do a Toasted Oat Mild, but I hadn't gotten around to buying or toasting the oats. Didn't expect to brew this weekend at all. This morning wife says "How about I take the kids out somewhere for the day so that you can brew?" Carpe Cerevisium*,right? So, subbing some victory malt for the toasted oats, I'm boiling now. Plan on using the 002 yeast cake from this batch in my planned big-malty-to-be-oaked beer a few weeks from now.*Seize the Beer

Fermenting out a batch of Jim's Brown Bear Ale with some 1968. Had to rouse the yeast a little bit so it would finish out. Kegging a batch of MLPA tonight. Getting stuff together for another batch of Spooky Spiced Pumpkin Ale for a Halloween party we're having a in a couple weeks! Hopefully, brew on Friday night...
