would transferring super slow help as well?

Kinda speculating but if you draw a pint (sucking up gunk) or two at a higher pressure than you transfer I would think that you would be good.

I push at 1-2 PSI.  So it takes a bit of time.  I would err on the side of slower then faster.

and this

interesting idea.  makes me kind of wish I had a clear keg so I could see what happens.

The closed transfers that I do are set and forget and slow except you do need to be there at the end because it will suck gunk at the end. I think the slow transfer may also be pretty important since you have this beer fully conditioned.

so i think i actually slightly over carbed these things!  ambient was 68F, spunding valves were around 20-22 PSI.  seems like I should have been good.

The chart I looked at only went to 65 but I agree you should have been in a fine range.

I've been pulling pints yesterday and this morning.  so damn cloudy.  I actually can't tell how good the beer is b/c there is so much hop/trub/yeast.  it has potential but tough to tell right now.

the minor overcarbonation doesn't help either.

I think I'm going to let these kegs chill out for a week and see if things settle more.  I suspect there is some great beer in there!

I figure I have time on my side since I haven't started dry hopping yet.

This is reminding me about the beer I have sitting on 8oz of dry hops.  Very gritty after 4 weeks cold still.

this has been about 1.5 days in the chest freezer.

yesterday i had a pint that was leaving a hop mustache when I took a sip.  today not too gritty.

Are the hops still in the keg?

You've used those SS filters a lot more than me but in several batches/kegs with them I am noticing something. I think the amount of particulate that leaks through them is dependent on how finely the pellets are ground. Sometimes I get very little hop dust coming through them and other times there has been quite a bit. Anyone else noticed that or am I talking from my posterior?

no, I agree with you and the hops used for dry hopping were not all the same.  Some were the fat pellets and one was the really small almost rabbit food like ones.  So that could play a part in it.  I may try and "filter" it through some whole hops with the hop rocket on the way to a new keg if I have any time ... if not drain.

I sometimes get a good amount of hop material from dry hopping.  I don't know if I've paid attention to which hops I was using and if that correlated with anything.  seems plausible though.
