Planning on brewing with them tomorrow for the first time. I want to make a Rye PA and wanted to showcase the El Dorado. I need some suggestions on other hops that pair well? My plan for the beer is Apollo for bittering, Rye malt in the 25-30% range, pale malt and some crystal? Was thinking S-04 because that's what I have, but could run out and grab some US-05 or something as well. So need some guidance to finish this recipe, what do you guys think?

Sweet and fruity almost like gummy orange slices candy. I'd pair them with Simcoe or Chinook or both and, to my tastes, go no more than 50% of the flavor aroma hop bill with them. If you really want to showcase that fruit candy flavor go more.

Ok, I can work with that. So they come off fairly sweet, so low on the crystal malt?
For my tastes, to keep it more drinkable, I would. Not that it couldn't be good otherwise. Or pick a crystal that is a little less sweet than others.

10-4. I still can't decide if I should go get some 05 or just stick with the 04? Not sure if the yeast and fruity hops will clash, although I'm sure it will be fine. For my tastes, to keep it more drinkable, I would. Not that it couldn't be good otherwise. Ferment cool with 04, it will be good. Are you going all El Dorado or in combo with what?

So the beer turned out great! I can really pick out the El Dorado, it is much more orangy and sweet than say Citra or something. Very good. I will post my final recipe later today.
Yeah that sounds like what I got from El Dorado. Glad it turned out good and definitely post up the recipe when you get a chance.

Just brewed a Session Rye IPA (45 IBUs) over the weekend. Bittered with Columbus and then did a 50/50 blend of El Dorado and Mosaic at 15 and FO. Fermenting right now with 1272 at 68 deg.
There is a local brewery here that brews a hoppy blonde with El Dorado and I think, Centennial. It's a unique flavor and aroma for sure.

Just made this. Would have preferred to use 1450 but timing when I was going to squeeze in the batch was getting tough. Been thinking about this hop combo since Matt brought it up a while back.

43 ibu up front so I can see skipping any late hops and just go with the wp.

I used resinate for the bittering to 60, and then no hops til WP and dry hops. I'm actually considering ditching the WP hops and using other varieties of resinate at the end and just dry hopping the shit out of it still.
El Dorados are great tho
