Today I started with Miles Davis, moved to Jimbo Mathus (of Squirrel Nut Zippers fame), then Stevie Ray Vaughan and I just now threw in some Ben Harper. Who are you listening to as you brew?

Classic Rock for me. Journey, Led Zeppelin. I normally listen to the radio that plays classic rock constantly. It makes for a nice brew day as well.

Grateful Dead radio on the internet. Usually running in the background behind Beersmith, and the Blueboard.

Old Crowe Medicine Show, System of a Down and Terry Allen on the last brew. I like to mix it up. Next time I'm going Davis, Dead, and Zappa!

This has been my routine. Grateful Dead and coffee to mash in. During sparge and ramping up the boil, I slowly eat lunch while listening to something with trippy guitar like Zappa or Soundtribe Sector 9. Then when it gets to cleanup time, I listen to something high energy like break-beats or drum & bass (ie. Fatboy Slim, Freestylers, Daft Punk, LTJ Bukem, Infected Mushroom).. or I'll type any of those artists into Pandora and let it find new tunes for me.Slainte- Thanks for adding the Gong station to Pandora. That's easily the best one!

Pandora is good for brewing and you can switch channels as you wish. Lately, it's been Big Head Todd, U2, Morrissey, The Delgados, Frou-Frou, Coldplay, Flunk, Ivy, Wallflowers, King Of Leon, The Editors and Violet Indiana. I like the way that Pandora will mine for music similar to the stuff you already like.

Pandora rocks in general - typically listen to bluegrass & old time in the beginning of the session before progressing to some rockabilly, indie, & 70s-80s garage punk after the mash. Today it was grisman, the modern lovers, wilco, and the quakes

Miles, Rippingtons, Spryo-Gyro, Kirk Whalum, Doo-wop, & Roy Orbison. Throw in a little Firesign Theatre.

Well, I can't really hear the music when I'm outside, so 90% of my brew day has that soundtrack as well.
