Probably 10 gallons of amber ale on Saturday. It will be a bit on the imperial side since I need to make some room in the freezer for some 2009 hops

Quitting work a little early today and I already have the grains milled for a Birthday Red IPA. Leaving tomorrow morning with a gang of 13 to attend NYC Craft Beer Week as a roving birthday party. I turn 50 on Sunday and the theme is 'You only turn 50 once'. My daughter who goes to school for graphic arts designed t-shirts for the event. Weather is expected to be excellent. Can't wait to mash in soon and get the weekend started.

I'm brewing tomorrow, but I still am not sure what yet. I have a dunkelweizen, a dark wheat ale, porter, MLPA with british yeast, MLPA and ten gallons of blonde in primary. I am thinking a nice hoppy pale ale may be in order, but I am not sold yet.

This evening I will be transferring a Two Hearted clone into their serving kegs. I'd like to brew up a pumpkin ale this weekend but my primary is tied up with a foreign extra stout so I'll likely do a mid-week brew next week.

Brewed 12 gallons of jimvy's Quiet Storm Stout yesterday, gonna put it on some vanilla in secondary for a bit too. Checked this morning and ferm was just starting- very odd, until I realized I knocked the probe of my new Ranco 2 stage down and it was sitting right next to the heater in the ferm fridge. So the unit was reading 65, but the chamber was at 54. All corrected now, but my QSS is getting more of a birth of a baltic porter. Maybe I am onto something here...

I'm planning a B-day brew as well. Plans are an IPA and the second all grain batch I've done. What better way to spend time doing on your B-day?
