Very much so.If you are getting carbonation breakout in the lines, then you won't have as much fizz in the glass and there goes your head retention.But...it could still be something else, or a combination.

Obviously, dirty lines could offer nucleation sites, resulting in carbonation breakout. But I don't think that is an issue. What else could cause excessive foaming in the lines?Mike

Too much pressure drop in the line. Although, you would have noticed it before with other beers.

I concur - I think has something to do with something pre-kegging.

I fixed the foaming in the lines. The carbonation was too high for my system, forcing me to drop the pressure to serve. Once I got the foam in the lines eliminated, head retention improved. The beer still does not have the head retention I would expect, but it is passable. Something to think about.Mike
