I had a busy work week and I anticipated that today may be slow. A contact at one of my customers was on a golf outing and when I sent emails to two contacts at other customers, I got an "out of the office" reply. So I kegged that Session IPA this afternoon and I made the Cabana Lager this evening. When I went to get a beer around 7pm tonight, I figured I would try to drain the keg of Amarillo-Citra pale ale so the Session IPA could take its place. Mission accomplished... I got about 4 ounces of beautiful, crystal-clear pale ale and then some brown sludge. So I swapped out that keg and put my English Summer Ale on that tap in the meantime. There was also a primary of Vienna Lager (made with 940) that had to go to secondary so I could get the yeast for the Cabana Lager. Now I'm cleaning and sanitizing the blown pale ale keg and filling it with helles. You would think I'm running a production brewery over here for Jeebus' sake!
Busy brewday...
