Nope...absolutely not.  Companies send me products to check out, but there's no other reimbursement.  And I make it clear to them that I will say exactly what I think without considering the samples they give me.  Please don't infer that any of my opinions are colored by some sort of remuneration.

Thanks for that. It's an easy inference for someone to make unless we get your clarification. That's why I wanted to ask you. It's not personal, hope it wasn't taken that way. Your opinions carry some weight with a lot of people, myself included. Hard to believe certain companies wouldn't pay you for an endorsement. Have you explored that avenue at all?  Or just not interested?

Pretty much not interested, although if someone came to me with a proposal I'd be foolish not to look at it.  I'm just doing what I've always tried to do, which is pass along any personal experience that will benefit the homebrew community.

Ken, I'm aware of Easy Clean and I've used it in the past, just like I've used Oxiclean and PBW.  All work well, but in my tests the Craftmeister stuff is much better.  Here's a writeup Drew did with comparison pics....https://www.experime...ing-carboy-test

That is a pretty good test.  Another thing to consider is how easy it rinses and how it cleans if you increase the dilution.

Have you paid this much attention to your racking equipment?  Bugs could be lingering in there.

Have you paid this much attention to your racking equipment?  Bugs could be lingering in there.

My racking equipment is clean, a stainless cane and some hose.

In this last bad batch I racked to the kegs and the left over was racked into 2 one liter bottles that I carbed up separately.

The bottles were fine and had no funk, kegs were funky, this my quest to clean the kegs and replace the rubber in them.

I will be replacing the hose also and making sure the cane is clean just to be sure going forward.

thanks for the help

Kevin
