That's pretty much what I do except I use a CFC and recirculate back into the kettle while whirlpooling. It works nicely, but you have to make sure you return the wort tot he top of the kettle. Last time I put my return arm in the bottom of the kettle. After a few minutes the bottom half of the kettle was at pitch temp and the top was near boiling. I touched the kettle to check the temp, damn near burned myself. :cussing:I like the ease of the IC anyway, I'm going to retire my CFC for an IC.Once I get my pump, I am going to upgrade my chiller to this set-up for easy whirlpooling.
