dark brown sugar, black treacle, maple syrup - too many options! not sure what to do...

still can't decide after the poll??? I say that if you've got the offer from someone to obtain the treacle in London, then go that route.

Ha! 4-3 vote is hardly decisive. Problem with that route is I have to pay for shipping and I also end up with 4 cans of something I won't be using that often.

Okay, final question on this I think...The original recipe I started with had 2-row and munich (equal parts) and people suggested I replace the 2-row with MO. Should I consider replacing the Munich with MO as well? I have a feeling the recipe this was based on was using 2-row + Munich to simulate MO. What do you guys think?

I think all MO would be better. That's a lot of Munich IMO. I don't think this beer will really benefit from the Munich.
