I'm considering ordering it too. When I posted about this, my assumption was that this yeast had been released before and that some people may have experience with it. The more I thought about it, I considered that this could be its first release so we would all be in the same boat. I really wish I could get my hands on some 2782 Staro and my guess is that it came and went and I missed it. I'd love a resource for some of this stuff like MtnBrewer has his UCCS yeast bank connection. Anyway, let's compare notes on it. My guess is that I will be using it in a Czech-style lager that's 5%ish with an SRM of 5 or so and IBUs of 25-30. I may grab some hops from Farmhouse too... the hops I got from them last time were very nice.I got that email too and plan on fermenting several batches using this yeast. I have not used it yet. Need to get an order together.

I do a lot of Czech lagers as well. May do my 1.036OG Czech session amber and a big Svetle~7% alc. I usually run ~6 batches in a row from 1 pack of yeast.I'm considering ordering it too. Me too man. You gotta try the Mangrove M84 sometime. It tastes very Czech to me. Made my best batch of Czech pils with it so far.

Oh yeah... I think we talked about that one and I remember how impressed you were. Refresh my memory... one pack or two, hydrated or not? Did you make a starter and Drauflassen it? I probably need to pick some up.Me too man. You gotta try the Mangrove M84 sometime. It tastes very Czech to me. Made my best batch of Czech pils with it so far.

It has a low cell count per pack compared to Fermentis. ~ 50b vs 200b. When I ferment another batch with it, I will make a 2L starter with 1 pack then drauflassen it.If not doing that, I would do a 2L stepped to 4L with 1 pack. It's a little PITA to get running from dry but once it's going the harvests all ferment fine and leave beautiful light colored cakes.I'm hoping this 2002 has a similar flavor profile with slight esters and residual sweetness like I enjoyed with M84. I like my Czech beers with a distinct yeast character.Oh yeah... I think we talked about that one and I remember how impressed you were. Refresh my memory... one pack or two, hydrated or not?
