This was just a throw-together recipe so that I could get one more use out of some 2206 Bavarian I had running and to also get rid of the last of my RedX.

Landhaus Lager

6.5 lbs Best Malz RedX
3.0 lbs Avangard Pils
4 ounces CaraAroma
.45 ounces German Magnum 12.1% for 60
1 ounce Ultra pellets 7.5% FWH
1 ounce Tettnanger pellets 2.4% for 5 minutes
Wyeast 2206 Bavarian Lager yeast

OG: 1.054, FG: 1.013, SRM: 11, IBU: 42, ABV: 5.2%

That addition of Ultra was supposed to be at 15 minutes but as my wort was draining into the kettle, I thought a FWH would be better so off it went into the runnings. The CaraAroma was to deepen the "red" a little bit (my LHBS was out of Special B...). I mashed at 151° single infusion for 60 minutes. All filtered tap water, all pH number aligned nicely, etc. Should be nice and the color of the wort looked AWESOME. Probably going to need to pick up more of this RedX at some point. Cheers.

That is going to be a tasty and probably quite red colored beer.
