Are all camlock fittings the same?

I need to buy some more camlock fittings. I originally bought from Pro Flow Dynamics years ago, and I notice that there are other vendors now, specifically Duda Diesel on Amazon.

At this point, I doubt they use the same supplier, but I don't know if that matters, or if camlocks are fairly standardized and can be crossed with different suppliers and still work as expected?

Excellent, well, at least I'll find out soon enough! I put in an order from Duda Diesel, and I'll see how well they play with others that I have.

I'm debating going cam locks. Its a big debate in my head. The hydraulic QD's work great. Upgrading to SS and to a larger opening is whats enticing to me.

I was using nipples beforehand, and they worked well enough, but after going to the camlocks, it was an amazing change for me, and I am glad I did the change.

BlktRe, are you using 3/4'' tubing?

If you are using 1/2'' tubing, I noticed now that proflowdynamics offers full bore adapters that weren't available when I ordered years ago. I was tempted for a moment to do a full order directly from them and replace my current ones with full bore, but I don't think I can swing the cash for that right now.

I am in the same boat, the money to upgrade is holding me back.

That and when we do barrel brews everyone has extra equipment with the same hydraulic QD's. Makes integration easier.

Which fittings are you looking at for full flow with a barbed female?

I'm thinking Type C coupler and using the Type A and F adapters.

This is what I used. Just make sure you get the type C drez linked to as it has a much bigger ID. I ordered mine from Bobby, he sells the pro flow. Type C is called "big c" on his site.

You have 3/4" fittings on your kettles?  I just priced out what I would need, while better than I expected still not ready to make the jump yet.

So the Big C would use the Type A and F adapters to get full flow?

Id want adapters with male and female 1/2" NPT so they would fit on my valves.

Yep

Still gonna cost me $100 w/shipping. That will get me 10 adapters and 6 couplers to set up 3 hoses. 4 hoses would be even better.

Mine was more.  I was looking at 16 adapters and 8 couplers.  Other than a better flow, what is the advantage.  If I was starting from scratch no doubt I would go this way.  I am wondering if it would be beneficial to just start with my BK side to help with getting a better ( faster) whirlpool.

Im thinking better flow at the RIMS vs the small hydraulic male fitting.

RIMS never crossed my mind for some reason.  Yes, I can see that helping.

How far does that probe stick in?  Is it in the flow?

Yes, the probe is 1.5" and is designed to be installed in a Tee.
