Sure, let's add insult to injury.Lou is the only one who is really going to be happy about this. A new baby is expensive. That 20% off will help. :rolf:

Is that before or after we have the organized debate and referendum to get a Food Recipe sub-forum?

oddly enough, i and a large number of people got our start on mr.beer kits. i wouldn't scoff at them or their users too much. they will make beer. it's not going to be the greatest beer in all ze world, but it may just spur you on to bigger and better things

A few people I work with bought them for a work brew off. Heck for 20 bucks it will at least be fun.

I was gonna buy it but they are out. There's something so Simpsons about the name Mr. Beer.

That is so apt... I can say the same thing. I did my 3 brews on Mr. Beer and then moved onto 5 gallon extract purchased from an LHBS for about 6 months and then have been AG ever since. The cherry may have been popped by Mr. Beer, but it left a lot to be desired and you somehow "knew" that it could be better.Mr. Beer is a "gateway" drug to better brewing.

The first 2 years I brewed, it was with Mr. Beer. The first batch, made with their little cans of extract, was HORRID. After that, I got extract bulk from the LHBS, and cut the 5-gallon recipes I found online in half so I could use it as my fermenter (very little space). When I finally had more room, moved on to larger batches.

How did the mr beer fermenter work out for you with the small batches with decent extract?
