Would anyone spend that sort of cash for a 5% pilsner?

That is the biggest peeve I have about beers. Some are more expensive to make, but why do the special beers always have to be high in alcohol?

A delicate beer like a pils has a relatively short shelf life. 40 barrels of $100+ per bomber beer is a lot to sell in a short time for a brand new brewery.

You guys already know this but I dislike things that look gimmicky. I'm not saying the beer isn't good but I don't like things that appear to create their own buzz. It's either good or it's not and the buzz will be created by the public if the product warrants it. I'm much more into making/drinking beer that is properly made & solid, batch after batch.

Nope. Would not do it.  Even back in my beer hunting days the most I spent on a beer was 60 bucks and that was for a 2010 Cantillon Zwanze and it was worth every penny.

Given the price of truffles, it's not too surprising that any one using them in beer is going to charge an arm and a leg.  I just don't see truffles and beer as a great pairing.

I had a gose once with truffle salt.  I dumped it but I think it was because I just did not like the style.

$1050 per pound/ $65 an ounce, I bet there's no more than a few bucks worth of truffle in each bottle. Conversely, if you were to sell 40 barrels of beer by the $100 22 ounce bomber, you'd gross over 700k. First batch of beer pays for the brewery, rest is gravy.

Meh, not much different than adding gold flakes in stuff to make it "special." I guess it pairs well with a $400 cigar. No thanks.

I did spend $75 one year on one of those giant bottles of Oaked AB, and I think I've spent $50 on a bottle of Cantillion as well.

I have a really hard time paying the typical $7.99 asking price for a bomber.  $130?  LOL.
