Mexican Lager. I have been experimenting with different percentages of pilsner malt + vienna or munich 1 or munich 2. This is 65% Avangard Pilsner malt and 35% Swaen Munich 2 (8°L), Magnum and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops and Omega 113 Mexican Lager yeast. Brewed 4/5 and lagered around 10 weeks.
A dark ale. Pilsner malt, Special B and Midnight Wheat. Nugget hops to bitter and then again late. 1056.

Here's another one ... My Hacienda Mexican Lager. It's my homage to Victoria Lager from Mexico .. brewed since 1865. Modelo describes it as a "Mexican Vienna".

Yum. I didn't realize you had a new name for the brewery. Only makes sense though.
I was thinking earlier today about some of those lagers I was putting out in that last year or two before I stopped brewing. Honestly, as good as I have had anywhere. This pic is plucking that memory as well.

The beers have been coming out really good. It's not just my kids or relatives .. I have new people in my life trying my beers (neighbors, new buds, girlfriends) and I get a lot of positive feedback. I feel like I used to wring my hands over every little aspect of brewing and now I "just brew" and the beers have been really good. I have simplified a little bit and maybe there is something to that RDWHAHB thing after all.
