Jovaru yeast. Crazy stuff, very Kveik like. High fermentation temp, finished at 1.003.

Have you seen much on Stranda Kviek yeast? I found a pack of dry in the fridge.

Nice! Brewing a White Stout for my wife tomorrow. I brewed it last year and she really liked it.

maybe we've discussed this b/c it sounds familiar but how do you get roast flavor without color?

Dry hop whole coffee beans plus I also add vanilla beans. It was surprisingly good.

I use Mayorga coffee from Costco. Really good coffee for the money. I first got it years ago from JR Cigars as a freebie for buying Mayorga cigars (nice cigar for the $). As for the vanilla beans, the original recipe I saw for it, the guy was debating vanilla vs cocoa nibs. I chose vanilla.

I use that same coffee in an oatmeal, coffee porter I do. Works out really well.

does the coffee add noticeable color?  I think cocoa nibs and vanilla together would be good.
