I made a 3.2L starter a few days ago expecting to brew on Monday, but a glitch in my home improvement project has postponed my brew day until at least next weekend. I have it in the fridge right now. I'd imagine it's probably not a big deal to just decant and pitch it when I brew, I just wonder how much viability I'll have lost by the time I get to brew.Any thoughts, BB?
what do you do when you make a starter

Should be no problem. Think of it as an extended cold pitch.

Yup. No prob. Longer than a week and I might try to "wake up" the starter with a little fresh wort a day or so before brewing.

I wouldn't think twice about 1 week. I'd probably pour some of the liquid off the yeast though. You can stir it up again with your gravity sample.

I may add some fresh wort to it so they get active .. but other than that, no worries just pitch and watch the airlock!

Look at it like harvesting a yeast cake and not using it for a few weeks. As others have stated, shouldn't be any probs at all.

Sounds about like what i thought. I'll add a quart of fresh wort the morning of the brew and let 'er rip.
