Very cool article. So thirsty for a Torpedo.I found the lack of mullets in the pictures disturbing.

I read that article first when I got my magazine last week. Its cool that they list a recipe to brew it at home too. The thing that gets me is: Where are you supposed to get Citra Hops? They say if you find a source then get some. Anyone seen or bought any so far? I also thought it was interesting that they Dry Hopped with Magnum. I have used and have plenty of them at home, one of my fav hops but I have never used them for flavor/aroma and thought they were only for bittering. Very interesting. None the less a good article and definitely a great beer. I might need to crack one open tonight as well.

If you can find them. That's the trick. the grower should have doubled production this season. how that will benifit us HB's I don't know. when I looked last year, I could only get 3 or 4 oz. I used them to make a Wheat. "Gumballhead"receipe but used only the Citra hops. it only lasted a Month. waste not the fresh hops. Citra is very clean, citrus and fruity like cascade and Amerillo. with a punch. very true to the profile given to it.Over all the Torpedo ws very good. Just wish I could have had it on Tap.gald they made up a bill so we HB's can try to make it.

I just got onto Freshops to look at their 2009 crop offereings. They have Whole 2009 Citra Hops 10-12% AA for $1.50 an ounce. Just thought I would share. I am wanna pick some of these up myself too.

I'm sure you mean the beer, not the hops, right? If you add your location in your profile, someone in your area could give you a better idea.

I picked some Citra up myself. I already have a hopback that Ive used for years. Im trying to determine if i want to use it for this beer or not vs just dryhopping.
