Ironkite came over and we put up my new hop trellis.Afterward we had a few and at the end I opened a bottle of my mead that I found in the wine cellar.Bottled it in 1993.16 year old clover mead!Only one thing to say:)

It was a semi-sweet clover mead.The cork was although only a 1.5" was still in pretty good condition.Crystal clear, great golden color.Smoooooooooooooooooth!No bite and the clover came though real good.Great honey aromatics.

How did you manage to hide it from yourself for 16 years?

I've found the best technique is to leave bottles around places that you can't readily get back to... Drools over the thought of retrieving a 2005 bottle of barley wine I left at a place in MI which I should be visiting this fall.

Exactly, I have a case of Cab Sauv, a couple bottle of mead and 48 bottles of Vanilla Bean Quiet Storm Stout back home in my parent's basement. I haven't lived there for a while but when I go visit I drink in style!
