How long do you want to keep them?I'd personally get nervous pretty quickly. They'll rot just like grass clipping, I think, if not dried or used right away.I wonder if you could freeze them?

They'll need to be used as soon as possible. Within a couple of days at the most. They'll go rancid. Just dry them if you can't brew with them right away. better than letting them go to waste.

Pack them as tight as you can and freeze, but I will wouldn't keep them too long like that, they'll still oxidize slowly.
