ha ha wow. I didn't wear gloves. I just rubbed with a white rag. It burned a tiny bit but it wasn't a big deal or anything. does anyone know how well BKF would work as a PBW type thing? like if I filled my just recently converted sankeys with BKF water would it clean it up well? I am not trying to hijack but mash man's question seemes to be well answered.Yeah, I wore gloves and haved rinsed it thoroughly. I'm definately not ignorant when working with acid.Mashman

Yeah, I didn't wear gloves either and didn't find it to be that big of a deal. Then again, I'm uber-manly. I soaked some equipment in BKF recently, but I did it to remove beer stone, not gunk. It worked really well in my kettle, so I disassembled some of the hard copper piping on my rig and did the same thing. Worked like a charm. Not sure it's a good replacement for a PBW soak though.ha ha wow. I didn't wear gloves. I just rubbed with a white rag.
