Yeah so we went from I had watched some Dr. Who in the past to full fledged Whovians in what seems like an hour. My nine year old has become obsessed with Dr. Who. Today we went to Science Saturday at Valdosta State University. It is a series of events at the college for kids 10 through high school. We meet my son's best friend and fellow Whovian and his parents there. Spend some time at the Planetarium, an awesome physics demonstration, a room set up for geology field experience, a trip around the world in geography and several other awesome geek endeavors. Then we all go to Steak and Shake for lunch. Find out our son's best friend's parents are big fans of the show, Trekkies, and Star Wars fans. Go to their house for a BBQ and beers. See their front door is painted exactly like the Police Booth.

So yeah. now we are scheduled for a Dr. Who party this coming Saturday for the Season finale with 5 other Whovian parents.

How the #### does shit like this just happen?

No fighting it we are officially Whovians attending a Whovian party.......there really is no return is there?

First it's a whovian party then before you know it all the lights are out and you're playing who's touching me now.... I've seen it a thousand times....

Got opr tickets to the 3d Version screening at the local cinema.

have second row seats to the Concert Spectacular (or as I called the last one, the ADD convention) with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Feb (a Christmas present for the kids who still don't know that is happening).  Gifts will be given inside two identical TARDIS's.

Got our Bow ties and 3d Glasses.  Trying to convince the kids to go as Sontarins.  They want me to go as an Ood (Love an Ood).  I want to go as Rory Williams (Hoping for an Amy to go with it) as I have the wardrobe, but not the nose.

Presently watching the Donna Noble series (our favourite companion..no romantic interest and quite clever).

All I can say is

GERONIMO!!!!!

Alonsi!!

FWIW, I've seen the 2005-current run about four times through. I started on the 1960s-1990s run just a few weeks ago, those are harder to get through.

We did 4 episodes from 2005 today. Billie Piper is alright too. On Monday a week from tomorrow the local theater is having a showing of The Day of the Doctor in 3D. Is this just a repeat of what is going to be on Saturday?

Blink is one of the better episodes of anything in the last few years, not just Doctor Who.

I started with 2005 a few months ago. It's slow going because my wife doesn't like it. She, like all of us, has character flaws. I wish I had known about this before we got married, though.

Luckily my wife is into it. She still battles her affliction that anytime a show starts her sleepy time gene kicks in hard. She has added peer pressure to pay attention as quite a few of our friends are fans of the show and it comes up in conversation.
