Could you remove it from the tower and let it soak overnight in a dishsoap solution?

Already broke the hell out of it and took a beer shower, I think I bent the brass lever. I had perlicks on both but I had a rootbeer misshap and need to replace the rubbers in one so I threw on an old standard one in the mean time. I'll have to run to the mom and pop hardware store and see if i can get new o rings for the perlick.

Been there, done that. When they stick that bad, take em off and soak em.I broke one brass lever and bent two others before I went to forward seal fawcets.Fortunately the brass levers are inexpensivve.

Take off the tap topper and unscrew the cap. Dump in some warm water, wait a few minutes, then move the diverter (or whatever it's called on a beer faucet) with a flathead screwdriver. I've gotten some pretty gunked up ones going again that way.

I need to run and try to find o rings that will fit my perlick so I can put it back on. fortunately my other perlick is ok and its just waiting for the pilsner to be tapped in another week or so. I just need to find the time to do it.

I "flow test" each faucet every day. That way they don't stick.

Yes. The "flow test" works.

I use the beer 50c condoms that come from Micromatic, fill them with starsan and never worry .On the few occasions I have left them off and had a stuck faucet, I just overfill them and stuff them on, and the starsan flows into the workings and loosens them.

I just came back from a 2 week vacation and the damn things felt like they were cemented. I took them off and disassembled down to the brass and tossed the faucets into a pitcher of lukewarm water. Hopefully that will do the trick. Until I get a some good faucets, I think when I go on vacation I'm going to disassemble the faucets, soak and clean them, and then keep them off the tower until I get back. Was pretty disappointed to get back and not be able to have my Fat Tire. Was going to ask the Brew Board how to get these things un-stuck, but figured I should use the "search" function first. If the soak doesn't work, are there any other options?

So the advice is to fill those little condoms with StarSan before putting them on in order to prevent super-glue action?

there is no way you can solve a problem like this for as little as 35 cents!!! This looks like a good fix as it should prevent the beer from drying inside the faucet.I had stuck fauget problems on my kegerator for a while. Then I started to force a couple quarts of hot water back down the tap into the keg each time a keg kicked. My kegerator came with a bottle that attached to the faucet and this was nice as it also flushed my beer dip tube in the keg. Now I use the kegerator for a fermentation chamber and use cobra taps out of a fridge in the garage.
