You know how Mt. Hood, Crystal and Liberty are American descendants of Hallertaer? And Sterling is an American Saaz? Well, Santiam is an Americanized version of Tettnanger. It has the spicy/piney notes of Tett plus more alphas and a citrusy American tang. Of course it's a lot more rough around the edges too. But I've used it in lagers, Belgians, pale ales and IPAs. It goes well with lots of other hops and I expect that it will go well with a lot of the newer "exotic" hops like Citra, Motueka, Nelson, Belma, Mosaic & Calypso.

Shipping prices are making it tough to pull the trigger on these.  13+ to ship 2 pounds seems high.

You can't prove a negative.
