What are your favorite summer beers???? I'm torn right now on what to brew for my late summer camping / family outings. Give me some thoughts here please. I'm planning brewing some 10 gallon batches to get the reserves up but I need some inspiration. Help a bro out!

a nice clean lager is always nice in the summer but really I'll drink most beers except for maybe something really alcoholic/heavy. i guess double IPA would be the exception there since the hops seem to counteract that.

A nice clean IPA. That being said, I'm brewing a blonde today and an IPA.

I like clean tasting beers this time of year so lagers, blond ales, and kolche's top my list along with a nice Hefe.

I'm really digging on my 3.5% American Wheat. Damn good malt flavor, crisp and refreshing.
12 Gallons
Bitter to ~15 Ibus with something really neutral like magnum
10# white wheat malt
6# pale/2-row malt (whatever I have on hand)
wlp090 or any other neutral american yeast and Wy1007 yeast split
ETA: it works great for making starters too. calculate in another gallon and run that off for next weeks brew.

I voted Saison but cream ale and kolch run close seconds.

A nice helles is really nice too. I'm gonna throw a nod to kolsch as well.

I prefer ales to lagers so I vote APA, hoppy not malty or sweet

If my blonde ale turns out awesome, I might be switching to a new summer beer style.

I need to try a kolsch. Those really hit the spot on a hot day...but I only have them once or twice per year.....and usually just 1 pint.

Other. can't say it changes much from the rest of the year other then making sure some are session strength so the beer while mowing doesn't turn ugly.

My summer beers of choice are IPAs and IIPAs. Though I do enjoy the light colored Belgians and sours. My favorite beer right now is De Ranke XX Bitter, a nice hoppy saison; a perfect summer beer.

Saisons and Wit's are my favorite in summer as are radlers on really hot days

I voted pale lager but American Wheat, Blonde Ale, Cream Ale, Helles and others are popular here. I like to try to make different pale lagers in the spring and summer using different grain and hop bills and different yeasts. It's fun to see the difference between a beer made with 2278, 2124, 830, 940, etc. and as long as they're well-made and have some character, they can be satisfying. But I can also have things like red lager, MLPA, raspberry ale, something Sam Adams Boston Lager-like, English Bitters, APAs, Viennas & Festbiers or Dark Lagers on tap here over the summer. I'm not into Belgians so Wits and Saisons don't really get made here. Practically every beer on my recipe page could be considered a summer beer.

I'm biased but Saisons or Wild Ales for me. Maybe a low ABV Witbier (I'll have one coming out of the fermenter soon!)

After spending all of Sunday on the beach with my wife and son and another couple of couples, us fellas agreed that easy light quaffable beers are the best in summery hot conditions. IPA's while awesome in their own right, don't belong on an Africa Hot beach because in that type of setting, they are not thirst quenching.
So, as the spirit crushing heat of summer here in SFL is upon us, my "go-to" beers will be "table" Saison's and sessionable lightly bittered APA's.
