Any difference. I can get White Labs locally but Wyeast would have to be shipped. Is there any noticeable difference between the two? Does one have more banana or clove than the other?

No major difference IMHO, but I have the most experience with Wyeast 3068, I've only used WLP300 once or twice. There is a difference between different wheat beer strains within each major vendor. I tried making a wheat beer with WLP351 once and thought the result was pretty bland.

JD I vote get it local. I'm normally a get it where you can cheapest EXCEPT with yeast. The less shipping the better. Local supply I see as from the vendor to your retailer vs. online being vendor to retailer to you. FedEx/UPS are not a yeast's best friend IMHO.

I prefer the Wyeast for this style. This time of year is less dicey than summer for shipping, anyway.
