Making Mead is quite easy, it's the aging that takes a long time.AG GF beers are a real dificult thing as a homebrewer, you may be best off using the GF syrups sold by BriessGreat Idea, but it took me almost a year to learn how to make beer...ugh! Hope Mead doesn't take that long.

This. Except that Guest's buddy in Denver that is starting up his own meadery somehow produces killer meads in just a few months. I'll also say that the sweeter a mead is the less time they need to age (but the more time they will age without going bad).No it just takes that long to mature (sometimes).

cool, were they better in a few more months though?FWIW, some of the best meads I've ever tasted were only a couple months old. Using staggered nutrient additions, you can make incredible mead relatively quickly.

PLease, do not attempt to drink the RedBridge. One of the big 3 brewing companies own it, and it tastes like crap.
If you can find Estralla (sp?), give it a go. Or maybe you can convince her to drink cider. :-)
