Well, the time is quickly approaching. Everyone's favorite PH Army senior NCO is about to wrap up his time in Afghanistan. Not sure exactly when I leave here for Manus, or Manus for Germany, but it should be shortly. I pack up tonight and head over to transient billeting for a few days, then get going off and up out this bitch. I should be around periodically after today- still have outprocessing and a handover to do with my replacement, but I don't know when radio silence will commence, and as it may be a few weeks until I have consistent internet at my place in Germany, I didn't want any one to think the Taliban did what the mods here could never do- shut me the hell up. As most of you know, this has been a shitty deployment for me- not on the professional level. I got a complete the GWOT list of Approved Cool Countries, giving me enough campaign ribbons to look like a central American dictator. But, personally, well, it's been shitty. Thanks to everyone who mailed me a care package, and thanks to everyone who posted, PM'd, or hit me up on FB with kind, supportive words. It meant a lot, and got me through quite a few rough days. So, here's to 39 total months deployed, and a sweet assignment in Charlottesville, VA working at the National Ground Intelligence Center. :cheers:See you ladies soon, and until then... SCIENCE!
