Hi All, I am really liking your site! Lot's of neat characters here! I've had no luck however in trying to add a jpeg etc. On another site, I use picture and that works. I upload all my pics to shutterfly and then copy the property info and place it into the image icon here with no luck. Can I get a hand on this please?Thank you, Mike

Enclose the link to the image in [img] tags. Like this:

[img]https://www.myhost.com/mydirectory/myimage.jpg[/img]

Also note that you can't use a dynamic URL because of security reasons. You need a static URL.

The dynamic versus static part is maybe my problem but mtn, I gots no's ideas wut that means........As mentioned I'm pulling my pics from shutterfly. Can you explain where I can keep my pic's that would be considered static?Thanks, MIke

I would think that shutterfly would be able to provide a static link. How, I don't know as I don't use it but I'm 90% sure there's a way. A dynamic link is one with a ? in it. Like this:

I was going to share the label in a thread about winter/autumn ales. My artwork is rude but I thought it would be an okay contribution. As mentioned, I grab the 'properties' from shutter and then post between the .....Thoughts?Thanks, Mike

mtn, I see what you mean.Can I simply copy the properties of a picture right from a file in my computer and post that jpeg between the img's? or do I have to use a website like photobucket, flikr etc? Apparently shutterfly won't help.Thanks, Mike

Isn't shutterfly like photobucket, flickr, etc? There should be a SHARE button or something similar that will give you a static link to the picture.You can host them on your home computer if you're running a webserver and you can link to the files.The other thing you can do is attach them to a post. In this case, you're uploading the image from your computer to our server and it's hosted here. But there is a limited amount of attachment space available for each user.

I don't upload here. I have an account in the FSU Math Dept and use some of their server space. Note that DJ has the largest container. Jus' sayin'

I do recognize DJ (particularly after you outted him). I'd say you have to be the guy with the giant beard as everyone else looks a little too young. the picture I remember of you didn't have a beard though...

Well, I don’t see any LSU logos or anything that looks Baton Rouge or Louisiana. I don’t see any subtle Steely Dan, Donald ####an or Walter Becker memorabilia. Not that this would make the guess any easier. So my uneducated guess would be the dude on the far left, a .11 shot at it.
