I sent a message to chauvan and furiousdesigns and wanted to copy the text for another message, but the original is not in my sent items. Is this by design that the board is not saving sent items, or accident, or did I screw something up? Thanks.

Default is to not save sent PMs. If you want to save them, you have to mark the check box at the bottom of the PM before you hit send.
