There was a Brewers' Olympics held at the St. Louis Microfest this year for all the brewers in attendance. It was timed course of keg toss over a saw horse, move six bags of malt (two at a time) 10 meters, then link and coil some hoses. It was much more exhausting than it sounds.

Iron Brewer!

The ingredient of the day is African rice, and the use of brewers yeast is not permitted.

You guys are throwing out all of the fun stuff. How about fastest time hand grinding the grain for a 20 gallon batch barley wine. Or carrying full 6.5 gallon glass carboys from the garage into the basement. those are some real home brewer events.

How about carrying the grains for at least a 10 gallon batch 4 city blocks then up 55 stairs.... oh wait, that's just called "brewing" for me, not the Olympics. You can also add carrying said grains wet down 55 stairs to that.

Since it feels like it's 100F in my house right now, I'm thinking more along the lines of the Winter Olympics. How about the mash tun bobsled? Mash paddle long jump? Slalom through a course of kegs?Anything to keep cool.
