Hi All, luckily I'm getting pressured for what I want for Christmas and I need to give my gorgeous wife a couple ideas. So my question to you is:In a broad sense, what is one of your favorite brewing books?Drilling down, what is one of your favorite style oriented brewing books?I'm leaning toward British beers personally...Thanks, MikeAlso posted on NB's forum.

For overall recipes I like Brewing Classic Styles. I think it is a good place to start and tweak the recipe for your tastes. Designing Great Beers is also a good book but a bit dated at the moment but is useful for recipe creation. All my favorite style books are geared towards sour beers so that will not help you much :)

Second for designing great beers if you're working on recipes. Noonan's new brewing lager beer for a good in depth technical look at brewing.

If you like British beers, a hidden gem is Pale Ale by Terry Foster. My current favorite is the IPA book by Mitch Steele (head brewer at Stone). Radical Brewing by Randy Mosher also great for out-of-the-box beers. The Belgian series is fantastic as well: Brew Like a Monk, Wild Brews and Farmhouse Ales.
