Hi guys !First post here, thanks to Martin ( Swag ) for pointing me to this new forum.I was at my local hardware store last night, and found this thing - it's a tiny regulator that comes with a 9 oz Co2 cylinder that is refillable. Reg price up here in Canadais $129.99 and it is on sale right now for $99.99I saw this, and got quite excited !Here is a picture I snapped with my digital camera of the flyer for the store, and of this JacPac regulator.https://img10.images...portableco2.jpgWhen I got home last night, I quickly emailed my local beer group, and found out that this thing had been on sale months before, at $69.99 ! ,, an amazing price, which nowmakes me really sad, because I don't feel like buying it at $99.99Now, I also found out that many guys on my beer group, actually bought this, and have hooked it up to be used with their beer keg systems, and the thing works extremely well !Not sure if any of you guys use this thing, but one of the guy on my group was nice enough to send me a link to another forum, where one of the mods took this JacPac regulatorand bought a piece pieces of hardware, and turned it into a Co2 gas dispenser for kegs, using the regular QDs we are used to using with our Pepsi kegs.Here is the link to the thread on how to build this thing, including a ton of good pictures showing the complete set up. https://www.homebrew...ublished-71719/Anyway, if you want to chat about this, or maybe post pictures if you have one of these, I'm very interested !Thanks guys !, Frosty

I have one, it works OK. It's not the best beer regulator in the world since it's apparently designed for low volume/high pressure, and beer lines need HVLP. If you set it to say, 8 psi, and then hook it up to a keg, it takes quite a while to approach 8 psi. My usual regulator comes up to pressure much more quickly. And it's really fiddly on trying to get it set at a given pressure. You have to just crack it open, then watch where the pressure settles. You won't really see much movement, but if you crank it so that it shows 8 psi right away, it'll settle at 12-16 psi..However, if I crank it to 60 psi and use it to drive my air nailer, it works like a champ. It's really an airtool regulator that we are pressing into beer duty.It's a decent regulator for portable beer use, and the fact that I can refill my own paintball CO2 cylinders is a bonus. But for $100, I think I'd rather get a cheap beer regulator and the B3 paintball tank adaptor. But I got mine for $49 US just before christmas.

Canadian Tirewww.canadiantire.cahowever, you can buy just the regulator part for $45..... somebody posted that on another forum.I didn't go ahead and buy the Jacpac.... seeing others bought it for $30 less than I would have paid for it, I just figured I'd wait... plus, I already have a portable system.A guy in Montreal has images of his JacPac all hook up, the images are small, but give you a good look at the system:JacPac portable Co2 system for beer keg dispensingso just to clarify.... the JacPac is available in Canada for the regular price of $129.99 .... last week it was on sale for $99.99.... however I found out that months beforethe same store ( canadiantire.ca ) had it on sale for $69.99 ..... ( so you can see how I felt kind of bad about buying it at $99.99 ,,, so I held off )
