Good morning, all. Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was good. Any opinions on using the dishwasher to clean bottles prior to bottleing? My faucet will not facilitate the common female connector on most bottle washers so I'm epxploring other options.

I would not rely on the dishwasher to clean them. Sanitize, yes. Clean, no. Water won't be able to get inside the bottles very well to do a proper cleaning.

I agree with Corbin. What's worse is that there is a possibility of some little food particle in your washer getting rinsed up into the bottle.I would not rely on the dishwasher to clean them. Sanitize, yes. Clean, no. Water won't be able to get inside the bottles very well to do a proper cleaning.

Good old fashioned elbow grease for cleaning. If you can use a drill to run the bottle brush then that helps. I buy new bottles and don't use old ones anymore. So I just hot rinse and sanitize. But, I only bottle for competition so I don't use a ton of them.Cheers,Rich
