The 120 Minute is an experience for sure. But, if you enjoy the 90 Minute for the bitterness, you might find yourself a little disappointed with the 120 Minute. It is, as you would expect to balance out all the hops, VERY malty. Almost syrupy. This, IMO, takes a lot away from the beer. There seems to be a saturation point where the hops cannot balance out all of the malt that one needs to use in order to attempt to achieve a malt/hop balance. I will enjoy a 120 every other year or so, when I get my hands on one. But, the 60 and the 90 are both better beers. The 120 is just extreme.Next I'm going to have to try the 120 minute IPA if I can find it. Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA

This? https://www.brews-br...?showtopic=6185I couldn't find the original thread for this,
I don't know about the 120 being malty but it is sweet for sure. The 120 is something you need to try every now and then but I completely agree: for regular drinking, the 60 and 90 are much more approachable. The 120 Minute is an experience for sure. It's an experiance for sure! I have had two bottles within about 3 months and I will say that they tasted different. the First I had was much better than the second. The second was cloyingly sweet. The first was excelent, still sweet but much more tolerable. Very syrupy and dense. If you can get your hands on one I would recommend it, At least once in your life.Cheers!Next I'm going to have to try the 120 minute IPA if I can find it. Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA

I guess malty isn't the right word to describe it, because there isn't a malt character there. You can just tell they used a lot of it because it comes off cloying. This? https://www.brews-br...?showtopic=6185I don't know about the 120 being malty but it is sweet for sure. That Hercules is some kind of delicious. Great Divide has a lot of great beers... damn why is it only 8:20am?I love DFH 90 and have slight wood when I find it on tap. I think my favorite IPA was a IIPA... Hercules. It was like hops slipped me rufies and then made sweet sweet love to me.
